Our entire Memorial Day weekend was spent at Theda Clark Hospital in
downtown Neenah, WI. So every day we tried to take a break and get in a
short walk across the WG Bryan Bridge, which spans across the Fox
River, to reach Shattuck Park and the downtown Neenah Riverwalk. We
watched the Pelicans fish along the edges of the dam and then socialize
in groups of as many as a hundred or so. We enjoyed the look-out from
the top level of the Pavilion. I loved the 16 pillars which create the
concert lawn, a lovely walk-out pier and the marina, a stunning view of
the harbor (the hospital) and a fountain. Downtown Neenah, WI is very
pristine. It is thoughtfully laid out and very visitor friendly. Here
are just a few of the shots Roy and I took this weekend. (Sorry, I know
this is a very short entry this week, most of our free time this past
week has been about mom.)
